What a crazy, crazy week! 19 people living in one house for an entire week can get a bit hairy, but we all made it work out wonderfully and had an awesome time making memories together! I will add more pictures later when I have time, but for now, here is Sage at 9-months.
Some of the week's highlights include, but in no specific order:
- Swedish massage at a spa resort (wow...I need to do that more often)
- Mountain biking down a path called Hank's Hideaway (a highly-technical path through trees, rocks, and weeds...a path that we should have never been on, but all survived...some more than others)
- Horseback riding through the mountains, along rocky slopes, in the pouring rain.
- Watching the kids play in the rushing creek just out our back door while rocking Sage to sleep on the glider on the lower deck. (that could never get old)
- Taking the gondola up the mountain and watching the kids take pony rides, climb rock walls, and jump on a bungee ride--then having a dance party of our own while enjoying our little picnic. (Lucas was worried that my mom's dancing would end up on YouTube.)
- Riding our bikes along the beautiful bike path.
- Taking Sage for morning strolls in our stroller to the nearby park and swinging.
- Driving up 10 miles on a curvy, BUMPY, sandstone road to enjoy nature at it's best and fishing on top of a mountain. (Maly even caught a fish)
- Watching Sage be totally spoiled with love and interacting with her cousins. (she grew up a lot in a week)
- Playing games every night after the kids went to bed and laughing until we had tears rolling down our faces and side-aches from laughter.
- Eating delicious, home-cooked meals every night. (I probably gained a good five pounds, but it was worth it)
AND...
- Enjoying Christmas in July, surrounded by family. We had a BLAST!
you're in Vail?? Oh... hope you're having a wonderful time! Keep those pics of Sage (and of mom & dad too, please!) coming!
