Simple Fun

Friday night Matt invited us to his train club open house down at the state fairgrounds. Sage and Claire had a blast! Apparently the train club holds an open house on the last Friday of each month. It may turn into a Daddy-Daughter date night in the future, as Drew wasn't exactly interested. :)

On our way home from running errands on Saturday, I mentioned to Ross that I would have loved to have gone to the Lady Antebellum concert. So, Ross made dinner and played some of their music videos for us so that we could enjoy our own concert at home. :) It was a lot of fun and Sage had some serious dance moves that we need to get on video!

After our "concert", we got Sage even more riled-up with bubbles before tucking her in for the night... which explains why I still hear her upstairs playing in her room and not sleeping at all!

We had a wonderful Christmas break spent with family--a lot of family! My brother was back from Hawaii, so that was extra special. We look forward to having him back in the midwest soon. Aunts and uncles got some quality cuddle time with Drew while Sage ran around causing chaos with all of her cousins. It was great! I had both Sage and Drew home all day with me last week because it was Christmas break and got nothing done short of just surviving. Thank goodness for daycare for Sage while I'm home on maternity leave. :) :) Sage still can't get enough of her little brother. She now calls him Buddy and Bubba because that's what she hears me call him and she also likes to call him, "Boy" a lot. :) He does a great job putting up with his big sister! We weighed Drew over at Matt and Lauren's last night and he's already over 13 lbs. (with a diaper). He's a champion-eater at six-weeks!
