As Promised...

the little owl sweater Grandma knitted for Sage.
Don't you just love her "bed-head"?

Apparently she thought I was taking her senior photos.

How's this pose, Mommy?

I love the little yogurt smear on her bottom lip in this one. :)

And there you have it--the little owl sweater still looks pretty sweet 27 years later.

Lazy Weekend

Sage and I spent most of the weekend cuddled up on the couch. She has been fighting cold-like symptoms for over a week. We took her in on Tuesday night and they said that even though she had fluid in her ears and a red throat that it was probably just viral. She didn't get any better over the next couple of days--in fact she got worse. She started vomiting with it by Thursday, so I took Friday off to stay home with her. Ross and I took her back to the doctor and the fluid in her ears had turned into an infection. We picked up her script that night and she's finally getting back to her old self again. I didn't mind the hours of cuddling--she hasn't taken a nap in our arms since she was itty-bitty. What a difference a little TLC (and antibiotics) make!

Little Owlet

Grandma sent Sage a special package this week with an outfit that she had wanted to get done for her for Christmas. Apparently Sage loves getting mail. She helped retrieve it from the front porch, opened it, and pulled out each item as she "oohed" and "awed" over it.

The jumper is reversible, so she can get a lot of wear out of it. :)

Of course Grandma embroidered an owl on the onesie underneath as well.

She also knitted a sweater with owls (that she started for me when I was a baby) to coordinate. I will post those pictures later. Pretty cute... :)

Feed Me!

Well, it finally happened... our wonderfully thorough little eater hit a picky streak. The child that used to eat anything and everything by the handful, as fast as she could possibly get it shoved into her mouth, is now into throwing it all onto the floor. Temporary solution... feed her on the go. After the messiest meal ever, Ross finally got Sage to eat by cornering himself on the kitchen floor and making her little Mexican combo "available".

She ate the whole bowl...

and snuck in a few kisses in between bites...

to thank Daddy for his patience and flexibility.
